About Kathy
Kathy Spencer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Health Professions Education and an undergraduate background in dietetics — a combination that lets her weave nutritional and mental-health perspectives into everything she teaches.
As co-founder of The Eating Disorder Consultants, Kathy designs and leads professional trainings that turn complex eating-disorder research into practical, usable clinical skills. Her health-professions-education background means her trainings are built the way good education should be: clear, evidence-based, and genuinely retained.
Alongside her training and conference work, Kathy sees clients in her own therapy practice, Rose Mountain Counseling in Orem, Utah — a calm, accepting space for real healing. At Nura, she shapes the learning experience so every attendee, beginner through advanced, leaves with something they can use in the room on Monday.
